1. Saints Row: The Third
Welcome to Steelport, a city that’s been torn by the three violent gangs. And seemingly, only another violent gang can stop them. After merging with Ultor Corporation after the events of the second game, Boss and his lieutenants became a corporation of their own. And now, after a run-in with the corrupt police forces, when they’re in the hands of the Syndicate, alone and cut out from the gathered wealth and support, 3rd Street Saints have to start from the bottom.
While being a third person action adventure game, Saints Row: the Third is described by developers as the game that has everything in it. While the base game is reminiscent of GTA type of games mechanically, shifting tone and frantic story create the comedic and exciting atmosphere. A long line of DLC adding to the game not only unique missions, even by the Saints Row standards, but customization items, transport, and outfits. Reviews adore the lack of serious tone and gritty realism.
Transistor is a cyberpunk game that uses isometric point-of-view as its primary mechanic. Following the story of Red, she discovers a body of an unknown man with a sword in his chest called Transistor. Sword has possessed the mind and voice of its previous owner and now able to speak with Red, navigating her in a city called Cloudbank, as the Process attacked the city and still searches for Red to kill her and return the sword back to them for unknown reasons.
Despite having real-time battles, Red can freeze the time with her ability called Turn that draws her action bar. Until it is fully restored, no abilities can be used if only you don't have the upgrades. As an addition, Red can retrieve Functions from her fallen enemies - new powers for her weapon with a passive, persistent effect or other. Beautiful design and interesting lore give this game a unique atmosphere being doubled by the soundtrack, done by Darren Korb.
• An all-new world from the team that created Bastion
• Configure the powerful Transistor with thousands of possible Function combinations
• Action-packed real-time combat fused with a robust strategic planning mode
• Vibrant hand-painted artwork in full 1080p resolution
• Original soundtrack changes dynamically as the action unfolds
• Hours of reactive voiceover create a deep and atmospheric story
• 'Recursion' option introduces procedural battles after finishing the story
• Fully customizable controls custom-tailored for PC
3. Torchlight II
Torchlight II is the second installment in the series, and while it continues the story of its predecessor, it also allows new players to jump right into the action-packed roguelike RPG world. The genre itself is well-established already with giants like Diablo series, but Torchlight offers the fresh experience for veterans and newbies alike.
The steampunk fantasy world lets players enjoy the lush grass of various beautiful environments, the glowing caves filled with mushrooms, and the endless deserts with their treasures! Lots of different enemies always try their best to stop our adventurers from their goal. From every corner there comes danger, only briefly allowing the players to collect their thoughts and dive yet again in battle with evil.
Following Torchlight, the second game starts with chaos erupting from underneath the world. A crazed former hero now takes the lead of hordes of different creatures, and in defeating him and his minions lies the ultimate goal of our new heroes. Take on the mantle of one of the four available classes, and be sure to utilize their might at its fullest. Stay flexible, for the treasure is always surprising, and don’t forget to use your trusty companion as the aid in battle, or as a heavy-packed war mule. Be ready for harsh defeats, or, if you feel like immortal, try the hardest difficulty for the ultimate roguelike challenge. The world of Torchlight is yours to explore!
4. Devil May Cry 4
Devil May Cry 4 is a hack-and-slash adventure by Capcom, and a part of DmC game list being the fourth numeric title in the series out of 6 titles (5 numeric and 1 spin-off) overall. The series and the game, in particular, is considered one of the most canon hack-and-slash adventures, setting the mark for many other titles.
The fourth game utilizes the universal gameplay principles for such games: the whole gaming process is divided into levels and getting through one grant the player with the grade from "D" to "SSS." The grade ultimately depends on time spent within the mission, avoiding damage and style. The style is a game forming principle of DmC — unbreakable combos, interleaving punches, kicks and shooting: all of the above defines the style. There are two playable characters in DmC — Dante and Nero. Their playstyle differs with unique powers and abilities
While being eccentric on a gameplay style, the game also follows a praised plot: the whole story pivots around Dante and Nero's conflict and includes a tremendous amount of family quarrels, giant swords, and demonic interventions.

In the primary game mode, two pre-selected character teams battle with each other to destroy the Solar Collector of another team that is inside the enemy base. Both sides are making their way through fights, fighting live opponents, drones and turrets.
Each level adds value to the capabilities of the entire team - adds strength to attacks and health. At the beginning of the game, all these indicators are equal to 1, and by the end reach 20.
The game space includes health packages and Solar units - it is a currency that has circulation inside the game. The currency is added to each member of the team at each destruction of the enemy - regardless of who exactly the enemy destroyed. The accumulation of currency opens up other characters and the possibility of their customisation. Destroying the turret gives the team a super-drone, which is very useful when attacking an enemy base.
10. Orcs Must Die!
Orcs Must Die! is a tower-defense game where you, as the War Mage, need to protect the world from the hordes of evil creatures such as Orcs and Ogres. To complete your mission, you need to keep enemies out from magical Rifts that must not be destroyed. Every level features from four to twelve waves; each Orc that reaches your Rift damages it a little. Once the Rift Score is 0, you need to start the level over.
The title uses a third-person perspective that makes it look like a classic action game. To protect the Rift, you can not only use different traps and spells but also fight Orcs yourself. If you're killed, you'll respawn near your Rift for a certain score.
Each trap or spell costs the in-game currency you earn by defeating enemies. At the beginning of the level, you choose up to ten items for the battle. As a rule, all traps only work once and then need some time to recharge. Every item is upgradable; on higher levels, you can also get some boosts that will affect that level only.
The game is followed by Orcs Must Die! 2 that features a co-op mode, and Orcs Must Die! Unchained, a free-to-play follow-up.
11. SteamWorld Heist
Steamworld Heist is a pirate-themed turn-based strategy with shooter and platformer elements. You take on the role of a pirate captain, Piper, as she recruits robots and leads them through space to capture enemy ships. The game has a side-scrolling perspective, and most levels are procedurally generated.
The main resource in the game’s universe is water, and all power try to get it. But unexpectedly one more side appears in this conflict: aggressive steambots that attack people. Only Piper can find out what’s happening and save the world.
To fulfill your mission, you need to form a team of robots to fight by your side. There’s a huge variety of potential crew members that can be found in different parts of the galaxy. To recruit them you spend water or reputation points you get completing missions. Every soldier has unique abilities and specialization that upgrade through the game. Battles are made in a classical turn-based manner with a realistic physics model that features ricochets, laser sights and bomb throwing.
12. Super Time Force Ultra
Mankind has learned to travel in time and uses this knowledge to improve its present. Namely, in every possible way corrects the past in order to be in a better present.
Of course, fixing the past is not an easy task. This is the responsibility of the military organization - the Super Time Force. Brave Commander Repeatski boldly sends time-traveling fighters to various points in time, including prehistoric times and the Middle Ages. Sometimes to improve the present he has to send fighters to the future - and Commander Repeatski does not stop before that.
The matter is not limited to transferring fighters back and forth in time. Manipulate the time can not only Commander Repeatski, but also ordinary soldiers - they, too, can "rewind" the time forward or backward - for example, during the fight, "cancel" the wrong decision, be five minutes earlier and do everything as needed.
And one more useful thing is the slow motion mode, if at normal speed it is difficult to pass.
The player has 30 lives. Levels are sufficiently filled with well-armed opponents, and so many lives - it's not so much. The characters you can play the game are sixteen. Everyone has his own weapon. And everyone can achieve six levels of skill.
13. Orcs Must Die! Unchained
Orcs Must Die! Unchained is a tower defense action game where you not only set different traps to prevent enemies from destroying your base but also fight them directly. Unchained is the third installment in the series, that includes Orcs Must Die! and Orcs Must Die! 2.
The core gameplay in Unchained doesn’t differ from its predecessors, mixing classical tower defense features with elements of a hack and slash game. To buy and upgrade your traps you can use both in-game currency you get from matches and real money.
However, Unchained introduced two new modes to the franchise. The game puts a heavy focus on cooperative playthrough in its Survival mode. It doesn’t differ much from the single-player mode, as you need to protect the base from a certain amount of enemy waves. But here you work together with other players and need to unite your actions to be more efficient. Another new mode is Sabotage. Here you compete with the second team, killing enemies. The team that survives the most waves wins; you can prevent your opponents from the victory, summoning monsters and ruining their traps.

Battleborn is a first-person shooter game that features several elements from MOBA and was developed by Gearbox Software.
Humanity fights over the last star in the universe named Solus. Different species had to unite in order to save Solus from destruction by Varelsi. The best fighters of the world are pronounced Battleborn and are sent to fight.
At the beginning of the game of every game mode featured in the game, the players have to choose one of several characters. Every character features their own abilities, skills, and attacks. A loadout system is also present in the game with players choosing three items to carry into the battle with them. Every item can be bought with an in-game currency named Shards. Such equipment enhances your characters abilities or debuffs your enemies powers.
The players start at level 1 and gain new experience for leveling up after killing enemies or completing objectives. After leveling up, the player unlocks one perk from the character-specific skill tree. These levels are reset on every new game. There are three main game modes available in the game which put ten players in a match against each other.
Players also increase their command level after every gain. In Battleborn's meta-game this allows for unlocking new outfits and cosmetics. New gear can be unlocked using loot drops after each match or picked up during one. The game also features loot boxes.

Tidalis is a block-based puzzle game with casual appeal, hardcore depth, and an addictive new "streams" mechanic. The game is brimming over with riffs and variants on that core mechanic with 20 game modes, dozens of special blocks and items, and 115 levels in the adventure mode alone. The basic rules of the game are this: blocks fall down into the board and have a color and an arrow direction. If a stack of blocks exceeds the height of the board, you lose. In order to clear blocks, you must right-click and drag paths through the arrows to set up chain reactions of like-colored blocks.
If this sounds simple, that's because it is -- you'll be lining up lengthy chains within minutes. But you'll be surprised how much brainpower it takes to set up combos of multiple chains, and the many brainteaser-style puzzles include some real stumpers. Tidalis has co-op and competitive multiplayer modes (both online and offline); action-oriented modes and timer-less brainteasers; a lengthy, casual-friendly adventure mode; twenty unique game modes providing innumerable twists to the basic gameplay; dozens of special blocks and items; and over fifty minutes of beautiful music to go with the painterly art.
In short, several games' worth of content are built on top of this core mechanic, which you'll quickly find to be as iconic as it is novel.Key Features:
- Puzzle game with casual appeal, hardcore depth, and an addictive new mechanic.
- Two-player co-op and competitive play (both local and networked).
- A wide selection of both action-oriented or brainteaser-like levels.
- Casual-friendly adventure mode, hardcore-focused custom games and vs modes.
- 20+ game styles, and dozens of items and special blocks.
- Rich, painterly art style and beautiful music.
- Players can create and share whole new themes, levels, and adventures.
- Options for colorblind players, players averse to lots of light and motion, and older computers.

43. [email protected]
[email protected] is a modern re-imagining of the classic ASCII dungeon crawler, fusing old-school gaming with a stunning 3D visual style to create an adventure that's totally unique!
Choose your hero – Ranger, Mage, Warrior or Amazon – and descend into a procedurally generated world constructed entirely from ASCII. Your goal? Reach the 26th floor, vanquish the fearsome Guardian of the Dungeon and claim his crown.
Sound easy? It won’t be. It'll be... [email protected]
How long will you survive as you battle against Trolls, Orcs, Rockmonsters, Lycanthorpes and the many other dangerous monsters found lurking in the [email protected] dungeon?
Each enemy type has its own attack style and weakness which you can discover by unlocking hidden pages in your adventurer’s Field Guide. It’s not just the individual monsters alone that make [email protected] challenging though – the combination and groupings of monsters, called Squads, make the game interesting, challenging and satisfying to defeat.
Take the Minotaur, for example: the formidable part man/part bull monster uses his ferocious charge attack to inflict seriously heavy damage. Fortunately, this dim-witted beast’s attack can be easily dodged by the skilled adventurer. However, add in some Frozen Skeleton Archers – a fast-firing, ranged enemy whose arrows can freeze you in place – and suddenly you find yourself rooted to the spot with an angry minotaur bearing down on you.
The deeper you progress into the dungeon, the more challenging the squads that confront you will become...
Every hero starts the [email protected] dungeon in the same way: armed only with an unlit torch, a battle-worn shield and their bare fists. In order to survive and progress, adventurers will need to learn the skills and find the raw materials to craft and enchant weapons, brew potions and forge magical talismans to aid them on their dangerous journey from Floor 1 down to Floor 26.Weapon CraftingNo matter how heroic they are, every adventurer will require a deadly weapon to survive the depths of [email protected] Thankfully, weapons can be crafted by finding and combining a Weapon Codex - basically a blueprint or recipe – and combining it with the required raw materials (ASCII letters).
There are five weapon types in [email protected]: short-swords, long-swords, spears, hammers and bows. Each weapon type has a unique special move that can be used to turn the tide in combat, be it the ground pound from the Skullcrusher Warhammer that deals AOE damage and applies a knockback, or the charge and thrust of the Goblin Pike that allows adventurers to engage enemies quickly from a longer range.Weapon EnchantingWeapons are great but for the discerning adventurer on an epic quest, sometimes a deadly blade, bow, hammer or spear isn't always enough. Each weapon in [email protected] has a key ASCII letter that, when replaced with an enchanted letter, can bestow a special ability to that weapon. Engulf your enemy in flames, freeze them in place, poison them, electrocute them or even to transform their monster form!
Use fire-enchanted letters to craft the Flaming Thunderstrike bow which allows you to set enemies alight from a distance, or apply the mysterious arcane letters to your sword to give you a random chance of transforming your enemy into something smaller and weaker. Be careful though: arcane magic is fickle and sometimes you’ll find your foe transformed into something bigger and more deadly!Potion BrewingPotion ingredients are scattered throughout the dungeon, and adventurers can combine these ingredients to brew useful potions to aid themselves, or hinder an enemy! Be careful however, the effects of these potent potions are unknown until consumed or thrown at an enemy. Suffice to say, drinking a Potion of Inferno isn't recommended; neither is throwing a Potion of Rage at an already angry Orc!
Oh! Did we mention that [email protected] randomizes every potion’s color, effect and recipe on every new play through so you’re never sure which potion does what exactly? No? Well… surprise!Talisman ForgingTalismans are powerful magical relics found deep within the dungeon – wearing these items can bestow special abilities upon an adventurer. For example, the Gift of Farsight which reveals the entire map or the Rune of Methuselah that grants a healthy bonus to experience points gained.
Evoke the nostalgia of all night gaming sessions from years past! Share the adventure by exploring [email protected]’s dungeon with a friend in local co-op and lay waste to the hordes of enemies that stand between you and floor 26. Be careful though… if your friend dies, you’ll need to make it to the next floor alone and revive them later on!
Even once you've successfully beaten [email protected], things don't stop there – you can dive into [email protected]’s Level Editor, an intuitive editing tool that lets you build, play, share and even die in your very own dungeon. Start with a blank canvas or adapt a procedurally generated level with your own flair! Place weapons, furniture, loot, traps and monsters and then share your dungeon with your friends and the world.
Get creative! Some of the best levels we’ve seen internally range from traditional dungeon crawling levels and platformers all the way to wave survival! Show us what you can do!
