1. Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter
Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter is an HD remaster of 2001 FPS Serious Sam: The First Encounter developed by Croteam.
The story takes place in a near future where humanity has unraveled an ancient artifact in Egypt which allowed for major technological advancements such as deep space travel. In an effort to save humanity, scientists send Sam back in time in order to kill Mental and prevent any destruction from happening in the first place.
The game features large-scale linear levels that are free for the player to explore as there are secrets hidden throughout them. Most of the levels follow a similar pattern of multiple arenas where players fight several waves of enemies connected by a pathway between them. The scoring system is also present. Player's score depends on the difficulty they play on and on the type of enemy they kill.
Players can get additional information on the enemies, weapons or the surroundings via NETRICSA, an implant inside Sam's skull.

4. Battlefield: Bad Company 2
The sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company is the ninth game in the Battlefield series overall. The plot is set in an alternate history timeline, in which there's an ongoing war between the United States and Russia; and the Russians are winning. They have already conquered most of Eurasia and made Latin American Countries their allies. The protagonist is a member of Bravo-2 spec ops squad. He is tasked with eliminating colonel Arkady Kirilenko, the leader of a secret project that is about to produce a Russian superweapon that can be used to defeat the US once and for all. The rest of Bravo-2 is computer-controlled. The NPC will assist the player and are technically immortal; however, they cannot complete missions without player's actions.
While most of the time you play as infantry, there are certain stages where players can drive tanks, helicopters, gun turrets and other vehicles. One of the most distinctive features of the game's Frostbite engine is that all elements of the environment are fully destructible. Besides plot-driven single-player campaign, there's also multiplayer that allows five different modes. All characters are divided into four classes: Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon. Medics, in particular, can speed up the health regeneration; however, lost hit points are slowly restored by themselves.
5. Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 2 is a first-person shooter, a second installment in the Call of Duty series.
Plot and location
The game is set during one of the most troubling periods of the 20 century: the 2nd World War. The player can take command of various soldiers from Allied armies, and take part in various campaigns in Europe and Africa. The three playable campaigns focus on the Soviet, American and British soldiers fighting the Axis, each encompassing traditional battlegrounds such as Stalingrad, El Alamein and Hill 400.
Call of Duty 2 focuses on combining realism and entertainment in warfare simulation. The playable character can carry two firearms, unique for each country, utilizing each of them in different situations. UI has been changed drastically, removing the visible health bar and overhauling compass HUD. The difficulty system can provide a cinematic experience while keeping the gameplay realistic - on Veteran, each bullet can be fatal.
Visuals and other features
The game boasts a refined graphics engine, with smooth textures, good performance, and stunning effects. Explosions and falling buildings, bullets flying and artillery blasting the ground, every detail is done to ensure the immersion on the battlegrounds of World War II. Multiplayer features include different playing modes, up to 64 players fighting in different locations and using a variety of American, British, Soviet and German weapons.

7. TowerFall Ascension
TowerFall is an indie action-game with focus on local multiplayer. It was initially developed as an exclusive for OUYA microconsole and was later ported on other systems as TowerFall Ascension. The gameplay represents an arcade-style fighting arena where four people combat each other to score points in a series of rounds. There are for several characters to choose from in the game. Every one of them has two main ways of killing opponents: bow and stomping. Every player starts with only 3 arrows which, after being shot, can be picked from the spot where they fell. The player can also jump on each other in retro-platformer style. The arenas exit is connected with exits on the opposite side of the map, so if the player falls down the pit, he immediately appears from the top of the arena. There also several powerups that can be found in treasure chest scattered across the map.
The Ascension version of the game also features single-player mode in which player has to kill waves of enemies on the arena. It has no story whatsoever and is more like a series of challenges with different monsters, powerups and unique peculiarities on locations.
8. Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China is the part of the Chronicles series. It is the first installment out of three in total with the other games being dedicated to India and Russia.
The game is the two-dimensional platformer with the agile camera which can be tilted. Such titles are also called 2,5D platformers. The protagonist encounters waves of enemies, and the player chooses between the various weaponry to deal with them. There are also parkour elements: one climbs ledges, jumps onto wooden beams and uses ropes to travel around the levels.
Substantial attention is paid to the stealth mechanics. The protagonist can crawl behind the obstacles and take enemies down from a distance. The Chronicles are in the way reminiscent to the original Prince of Persia series.
The game is composed of twelve episodes and takes place in China provinces like Na'an and Macau.
The game is the straight sequel of Assassin's Creed: Embers — the short film about Shao Jun — the disciple of Ezio Auditore who is the protagonist of the three previous Assassin's Creed chapters. The setting is the XVI century China during the Ming Dynasty rule. After the training under the guidance of Ezio ended, Shao returned to China to fight the local Templar clan called Eight Tigers.
Mountain is a mountain simulation application which was intentionally made as an anti-game. It features very little gameplay and only a semblance of interactivity.
At the beginning of a new game, the player must undertake a quiz. He or she has to answer several psychological questions by drawing the answers. This is the only gameplay Mountain actually has. Based on the drawings, the program generates a floating mountain that embeds the player's answers. The user cannot interact with the mountain or influence it. However, he or she can observe it from any angle by rotating the camera with the mouse. By using the keyboard, the player can also influence the game's piano music.
The mountain slowly changes over time, acting as a living environment. As the time passes, the mountain goes through the day and night, various seasons, clouds, rains, and snowfalls. New plants can grow and fade on the mountain, and random objects can fall on it out of nowhere. Occasionally, a piece of philosophical text appears on the screen indicating the mountain's "thoughts." The mountain eventually collides with a shooting star and collapses.
This game was created as an art object and an experiment rather than entertainment. It is meant to fill the time in the background while the user is preoccupied with some other activity. Though hardly a game, Mountain can be used for relaxation and meditation.

The ancient myth of Pandora's box serves as the starting point of this game. Archaeologists find an artifact, a mysterious box, in ruins on the ocean floor, in the early 21st century. They can not determine what it is and put a find in one of the museums in New York, where it is well guarded.
However, there is a person in the world who knows exactly what it is. This is the millionaire Ormond LeFey. LeFey hires an experienced thief Charles Deckard. Deckard must enter the museum, open this artifact and take its contents.
Pawn in someone else's game
Deckard easily bypasses the security system of the museum and opens the box. When he does this, Signet appears on his left hand, and a powerful cloud of energy rips out of the box into the sky.
Deckard leaves the museum and sees that there are creatures running around the streets, which were known only from myths. The sky is also full of these creatures, and all of them, both in heaven and on earth, attack people, tear them apart, turn over cars and destroy buildings.
From Pawn to Queen
Deckard is the only person capable of removing monsters from our world. Deckard has to fight monsters with conventional weapons, but Signet on his arm absorbs the energy of dead monsters, this energy is able to heal Deckard and give him the power to "kinetic strike". Some useful things also do not work unless you apply this energy to them.
Deckard has a notebook containing information about his tasks, monsters and weapons.
During the game, Deckard has to go to London, then again return to New York, to penetrate the headquarters of LaFay, to cope with many other missions.
Allies and multiplayer
Deckard is assisted by members of the paramilitary organization "Council of 98", this organization also knows about the artifact. The millionaire LeFay, who hired Deckard to open the artifact, is also not the loner, but the head of another organization, the Black Order, which seeks to master the forces of the artifact to conquer the world.
When playing in multiplayer mode, up to eight people can participate in the game, and the Council of 98 and the Black Order are very relevant there.

15. Only If
Only If is a first-person adventure indie game developed by Creability.
After a party at his crush's house, Anthony awakes in a room he'd never been before. He attempts to exit the house, but a mysterious voice from the phone screams insults at Anthony and tells him where to find the exit. Tony follows the clues and leaves the house.
The main gameplay mechanic is based on exploration. Like in most escape room games, it is necessary for the players to look for clues in the environment they are in at the moment. Further into the game, the levels are no longer set in a house, but in a park with the landscapes of it being used for several puzzles.
From level to level, several gameplay mechanics change with the only gameplay element that stays the same is the character movement or item interaction. Everything else is subject to change. These gameplay elements can be used as a puzzle piece in several levels, but most of the time they create an obstacle for the player to pass.
The developers put a heavy emphasis on the fact that gameplay mechanics were meant to be experimental and unpredictable. This effect is achieved by avoiding the use of the “What you see is what you get” principle. There are multiple unexpected turns present in the game. For example, at some point of the game, the players have to jump down a ledge. It first it appears that the main character will fall to his sudden death, yet it appears to be the right direction to move to.

Starting as a hobby project of two 14-year-olds in 1998, Robert Clemens and Jan Bodenstein developed a vision for their game of dreams: Crashday – a game that would combine elements of their back-then favourites Carmageddon (1996) and Stunts (1990). In a time long before indie games became a normal thing, the duo taught themselves about programming and creating game art to make their vision come true. Developer Moonbyte Studios was born.
Fast-forward eight years, the PC racing game actually hit the shelves in early 2006 – completed with the help of development partner Replay Studios, and distributed by then-publisher Atari. Long overdue and far more complex than in the developers' wildest dreams, the game saw a positive reception amongst players worldwide. Crashday quickly built up a community of passionate online players, track builders, and enthusiastic modders. Last but not least due to extensive modding capabilities, the game had eventually survived far longer than anyone had expected.
2017. Already past its tenth anniversary and driven by tremendous support from a few still-active Crashday players and fans, Moonbyte decided to bring their “baby” back to Steam. Nowadays, in a fully digital landscape, the way community-driven online games are played and shared has changed – perfect conditions for a game like Crashday, and surely the ideal opportunity to pay tribute to the fans by making use of new technology and distribution channels while staying true to its roots. This is Crashday: Redline Edition.

29. Gold Rush: The Game
Those of you who have never dreamt about finding a gold nugget, please raise your hand. Ok, now, gather around, because I’m about to tell you something. The rest of you can just enjoy this experience, because there is nothing I can tell you to make you even more interested. It’s just a “dream come true” for all of us, right?
Gold Rush allows you to discover the tough experience of gold mining. You start with just an excavator, but with passing seasons, you become the wealthiest man in Alaska.
We created a big, detailed world with four unique gold mining claims. On each, you will find a fully deformable terrain. Each fragment of our world has its own background story you can discover in spare time.
Our main goal was to create a high-fidelity simulation. You will spend a lot of time in the excavator, as it is the main gold mining tool, so with that in mind, we spend the majority of our time giving you the best possible experience.
There is no campaign in our game. Instead, we decided, after a long tutorial, you will go into Sandbox mode, where you will not be constrained by anything.
Remember, nobody can work all day, all night. Even if you’d like to, the hard work of gold miners is often hampered by the force of nature. Difficult weather conditions can easily spoil the machines and stop the extraction for a long time, not to mention the winter, when you can’t dig at all.

Machine Hunt is a first person, fast paced, chaotic shooting game that is aiming to bring you the old school fun feeling.
Game pits heavily armed players against machines that have only one goal, destroy humanity.
The world of machines is dark, violent and grim. They will not stop until all humans are dead.
When an advanced weaponry base goes dark, George Flow is sent in to check things out.
When boarded the transport carrier, the mention of advanced weaponry development, brought back flashbacks. Flow remembered the day many years prior, when he was at school. He remembered sitting in the office and staring outside the window for his parents to arrive. He remembered waiting and watching and no one ever showing up.
Likely one of the most devastating sights was that of a police car driving up to the school. Its pace was slow. All George remembered was pain. His parents were dead. Gone forever. It felt surreal at the time.
His father had been presenting newest and most versatile combat robot to date. The real achievement of Artificial Intelligence.
The machines had rebelled during the demonstration. They'd killed everyone.
The carrier finally landed.
Everything seemed quiet and calm. One thing in particular. No people.
- 1104 Achievements
- CAMPAIGN MODE
- SANDBOX MODE
MACHINE HUNT is still in development, there are a lot of things we plan to add to enhance a game and give you maximum pleasure and fun.

The Templar Knights are a revered and storied martial order who were the elite forces for the Star Traders during their most challenging conflict: the Galactic War against the Guild.
Their unchallenged prowess derives from two key factors:
- Leviathan Battle Suits - They pilot 10 foot tall battle mechs known as Leviathan Battle Suits. Once designed for high-pressure environments and exploring gas giants and deep space, these mechs have been adapted for war.
- Templar Lineage - Templars descend from a Zendu bloodline -- a unique heritage that gives them the ability (with proper training and ritual) to pass all of memories from their lives (and any memories passed down by their ancestors) to a newly born child. This memory gift is known as a Templar’s Lineage – and it is what gives Templars their immense advantage in combat, tactics, engineering, and the ability to drive the hulking Leviathan Battle Suits. The player takes on the role of a Templar Captain who hails from a storied Lineage reaching back 87 Templars -- and who pages back through the memories to help cope with the dire situation at hand.
The Templar Knights are a martial order sworn to protect the Star Traders – the last known free humans. Under the guidance of the Templars and the prophet Shalun, the Star Traders departed the ruins of the Galactic Core, leaving behind desolation wrought by the great Galactic War. Guided by the prophet, the Star Traders sought a new home among the stars. Across the multi-generational journey of the Great Exodus, many ships have been lost, fallen behind, or splintered from the main fleet -- scattering the Star Traders to the galactic winds.
With the Great Exodus coming to an end, the Star Traders founded new colonies on the few remaining habitable worlds. The Templar Knights are called upon once again to defend the Star Traders and their new colonies from an ancient threat.
Templar Battleforce is the fourth Trese Brothers title set in the Star Traders universe. The game follows Templar Assault, the Trese Brothers’ original squad-based warfare game in which players lead squads of Templar Knights against the Xeno threat. Templar Battleforce inherits not only the rich story of its predecessor, but the game’s high tension and corridor-to-corridor combat style. Games created by the Trese Brothers are known for challenging difficulty progressions, so you’ll have the option to play on easy and normal difficulties -- or crank it up into multiple gears of insanely challenging combat!
Trese Brothers Games is one of the premier indie game development studios for desktop and mobile RPG and strategy games. Andrew and Cory Trese founded Trese Brothers Games in 2010 from a shared passion for challenging, highly replayable games. With more than six games on major game platforms and markets, Trese Brothers Games has more than 2.5 million customers . . . and counting.
Come join the family! 38. Drizzlepath: Deja Vu
“Memory is an oddly circuitous thing, often dancing in its own circles. A snake perpetually eating its own tail. We can sometimes swear we’ve seen something before, in another life. Echoes of another existence, so familiar and yet…we’ve never been here before, have we?”
A man embarks on a journey toward the top of a mountain, to discover the truth of his existence. Along the way, he ponders the nature of life itself. Drizzlepath: Deja Vu is a spiritual revisitation of Tonguç Bodur's very first game, Drizzlepath. Not so much a remake as a re-envisioning, as well as a celebration of the many games he has made since.
- A relaxing “walking simulator”, in which events are triggered not through interaction with objects, but through exploring
- Tonguç Bodur’s tenth game on Steam, and a homage to his very first game from 2015
- Neither a sequel nor a remake, but a standalone experience with bonus in-references for those familiar with his earlier games
- Professional voice narration, atmospheric sound design, and a dynamic music score
- A playtime of thirty to sixty minutes, with a thorough playthrough required to discover all of the game’s secrets
- A single sprawling level, broken up into several save points
- A rich and thought-provoking narrative, co-written by Bottle: Pilgrim and Nephise: Ascension author Michael Bowser

LOOKING TO JUST ENJOY PLAYING HARDLAND? WISHLIST IT!
Even if you are familiar with other Early Access games, there is an aspect to Hardland's development that may not be true for other games: we often have to work on game features in isolation from some other features of the game. This means you are not playing with the full feature set of the game until we are finished with the feature and can put things back to together, so parts of THE PLAY EXPERIENCE MAY TEMPORARILY DEGRADE BETWEEN RELEASES.
Other than that, the standard Early Access disclaimer applies; before the final release Hardland will contain many rough edges, quests that can't be completed, and game-breaking bugs. We recommend that you only join Early Access with us if you are interested in development or want to support the game. If you don't care all that much for development and are simply looking to enjoy playing, please add Hardland to your wishlist instead of buying it and jump in when we release the finished game.OUR VISION OF HARDLAND
Please note that this describes Hardland as envisioned. The current state of the game you can see from the announcement posts in Steam's Recent Updates.
Hardland is first and foremost about its world. It is about the towns and their people, the roadside taverns, the paths through its small forests, and the fox chasing the chicken through the fields. You can rest at the campfire, find treasure hidden in the woods and trade with the travelling merchant.
The world's layout is unique to you as all of the game's four continents are procedurally generated. Even though important landmarks such as Town of Fortuna, Snow Peak and Elven Citadel are handcrafted, their placement within the world is entirely decided by the procedural generator -- as is the placement of all the paths and roads running between towns, forests that surround the paths, and creatures that inhabit the forests.
Exploring. Fighting. Looting. Resting. Healing. Hiding. Discovering. Trading. Questing. Talking. Wearing. Equipping. Transforming. Disguising. Ambushing. Evading. Fleeing. Dying. Retrying.
The impending death of Elder King spells both uncertainty and opportunity for Hardland. The king's death would leave the land with no ruler and see many notable people around Hardland aspire to the throne. It is at this time that the player finds himself in Hardland, and as others struggle for the throne, the king's court in Root Hall struggles to find a cure to extend their ruler's life.
We are shaping the game with the community of Hardland's Early Access participants. As of 1/2017, the game has received 20+ major updates in Early Access. We discuss each update with the participants after its release where everyone has a chance to provide feedback about how the update changes the game and bring up things we should focus on for the next update.
The development effort of Hardland is led by brothers Kimmo and Timo Vihola. Timo works on game design and art, whereas Kimmo's work is focused on game design and programming. Our team, Mountain Sheep, is best known for the iOS games Minigore, Bike Baron and Death Rally.

48. Survive the Nights
Survive the Nights is a unique FPS survival game focusing on teamwork, fortification, creativity and strategy. Secure a structure or roam free, the choice is yours. Survive the Nights focuses on realistic survival, post zombie infestation. The game takes advantage of day and night cycles. Preparing during daylight hours when moving around the world is less risky. Make use of existing structures instead of building them. Play as a team to better your chances surviving each night.
There are currently over 400 structures on the island’s alpha build. Every structure on the island is enterable and fortifiable. Fell a tree (there are over 24 thousand) and produce logs. With the right tools in hand, you'll be able to craft planks then all that's needed is a hammer and a box of nails. Find lock hasps and combination locks to secure doors, cabinets, lock boxes and vehicles. Craft traps to keep players and zombies at bay.
Here's some of what Survive the Nights has to offer in it's first public alpha build. Please remember, we’re dedicated to listening to the players. If you have any suggestions share them on our forums, we’re listening!
- Around 64 square kilometers of playable area
- Designed by hand not generated!
- Large road system
- 100’s of fortifiable structures
- All structures are enterable and securable
There’s a big difference between day and night, remembering that may be key to your survival. Day and night cycles make for dynamic gameplay. Zombies are scarce and far more docile during daylight hours. Nightfall brings out dead so it’s best to be indoors by then. Traveling at night is not advised.
- Gather loot and food during the day
- Fortify a structure
- Secure doors and containers with locks
- Fuel generators and prepare power systems
- Team up with friends
- Hunker down in your secured structure
- Try to survive the night
Our weather system is dynamic including temperature changes, all four seasons along with seasonal vegetation and foliage.
- Dynamic lighting
- Dynamic seasons
- Dynamic temperatures to suit seasons
- Day and night cycles
- Moon cycles
- Realistic star and moon positions
- Random weather events such as rain storms and snow storms
- Mist and fog system
Powering a structure can provide a structure with lighting and the ability to use some of the structure fixtures like electric stoves.
- Power an electric meter with a generator
- Power larger structures with in house backup generators
- Power a set radius with a generator in the wild
- Supplies a structure or area with electricity
- Power lights
- Heating devices
- Crafted electrical items
- Power tools
Structures are all exciting as there’s no “base building” in Survive the Nights. You can take control of an already existing structure and fortify it as you see fit such as providing it with a power supply, boarding windows and doorways, setting traps and securing doors and containers with locks.
- Every door can be padlocked
- Every window can be boarded over
- All structures have electric systems
- All structures can be powered
Simplified text based inventory and crafting allows us to greatly expand on in game items and crafting possibilities without the graphical overhead.
- Simplified crafting system
- Combine common items to create other useful loot
- Create tools like axes, hammers and hatchets by combining crafted handles and found tool heads
- Combine food items with pots and pans to create meals that are ready to cook
The placement system allows for players to move any crafted or found physical game drop as they see fit. You can stack food boxes up on your kitchen counter and even line your ammo boxes up on a bedroom dresser. Placement will allow for players to make a structure feel more like their own.
- Manipulate any loot drop
- Place and store goods on counters, shelves or tables
- Organize your safe house
Getting around an island the size of this one isn’t easy on foot. Vehicles are in their infancy and are something we’ll greatly expand on in the future. They can be used as containers and larger vehicles like the RV can be used as mobile homes complete with containers for storing goods as well as a stove and refrigerator for keeping foods fresh.
- Realistic fuel consumption
- Realistic part system
- Vehicles act as containers and loot can be stored in them
- Vehicles support more than one passenger
Our mental health system is being developed to discourage Kill On Site mentality. The zombies in Survive the Nights will be a real threat and you’ll better your chances of surviving with friends and not killing every stranger that comes walking by. PVP is still a factor as it should be and there are means to correct a negative mental state.
- Kill players repeatedly and pay the price
- Eat raw or rancid foods and lower your mental state
- Eat warm meals or fresh foods to raise your mental state
- Extreme lows in the mental health stat will result in death
Realistic food and drink intake is a big part of the game. You won’t need to eat too frequently so eating and drinking feels like a smooth mechanic and less like a burden. Eating and maintaining a proper diet can even result in character buffs.
- Realistic calorie consumption
- Realistic hydration system
- Only eat what you need for a day
- Eat more and build your calorie, stamina and overall health stats
- Consume cooked foods to lower your chance of sickness
The dead are a real threat and will kill an unprepared player quickly.
- Day and night based AI
- Zombies hear
- Zombies see
- Zombies can attack your structures and gain entrance
- Day zombies are few in number allowing you a better chance of gathering resources
- Night zombies are abundant in number, traveling at night isn’t advised
- Found in dark tree lines and abandon structures
- More docile and less prone to attack
- Turn into night zombies when the sun goes down
- Roam the wilds along with the streets
- Very aggressive
- Increased vision
- Faster and more agile
- Spawn in higher numbers
Something we’re including right from the first alpha build is steam achievements. How many nights will you survive? Just like all of our features we’ll gather ideas for Steam Achievements from the community. We’ll expand greatly on achievements but you’ll have many to earn in early access such as nights survived, trees felled, times killed, zombies killed etc.

50. Sirius Online
War. A never ending source of waste. A never ending demand for more lives and resources. The Year is 2436, and humanity, once again, wages war on itself. Nearly a hundred years ago we settled on the Sirius Star System, a rich system with two habitable planets. The first Settlers, now forming the Sirius Colonial Council built this ecology from the ground up. They self-governed and prospered. Five years ago, the Terrans appeared, demanding to return the Control over the System. Failure to do so would result in catastrophic response from the Terran Reclaim Forces.
And so, once again, war erupts.
Take part of the war or live along both sides, trade, fight, think and explore. Be the tip at the iceberg of the upcoming conflict. Control the Economy with your Trading Craft. Find unimaginable riches in the 11 AU wide Sirius Star System. Battle Pirates and even more sinister forces. Create your own Empire among the Stars.Sirius Online 1.2 - Rise of the Crimson Dawn
It was an accident. Or so they say. One day, the Research Station from the Sociecty of Advanced Technology, a neutral Faction dedicated to research the effects of AGI, vanished. Well... in an explosion. From that day on ships of unknown origin invaded, attacked traders, attacked explorers, abducted people. Always leaving only fragments of data. Fragments that say "...remember the Crimson Dawn". We never gave them much thought. Another Lunatic, fallen to space sickness, painted his ship in odd colors, attempting to kill people until stopped.
It was too late to realize that these were not loners. That these were not unorganized. That these seek to end all human life in this star system. When the first Megacarrier with countless of AI Drones arrived, programmed to speak with the voices of our loved ones, we realized: THEY were the Crimson Dawn. And they have risen. To end us.Features
