1. Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect II is a sequel to Mass Effect one, following the story of Captain Shepard in his or her journey in saving the Galaxy from Reapers. Just after the fight against Saren, Shepard dies and drifts in open space. Being collected by Cerberus and the lead man, The Illusive Man, Shepard has to investigate attacks on human colonies around the Milky Way, and discover that now the Reapers using some new insectoid called the Collectors.
You can choose from different classes to play, for example, a Soldier, Adept or Vanguard. A cover system is the main mechanic in the fight, as you have to think about fighting your enemy strategically. Your talents have a global CDR, so choose wisely. With one little addition, now your weapon has a loaded magazine of bullets, and you can run out of ammo if not using your weapon properly.
BioWare sticks to the tradition of dialogue and reputation system, as your actions still affect your position in the world. If you act like a hero and help everyone you meet, people will like you and your reputation will be Paragon. Do the exact opposite and a Renegade. Whom will you be?
2. Battlefield 1
Battlefield 1 is a first-person action shooter set in the historical period of the World War I. Although the game is a part of the Battlefield franchise, it has no references to the previous chapters. Players are able to experience both single and multiplayer mods to get in action and to feel the era better. As a single-player campaign, Battlefield 1 offers 6 storylines (chapters) one following each other. Each consists of several missions and tells a story of a single man in the middle of a global military conflict. Playing for these soldiers and closing the targets introduces new game mechanics to players. Completing these missions gives an opportunity to dive into the history and to examine the warfare of past ages. Multiplayer experience is divided into 9 different game mods spread on 31 historical maps. You can join the dynamic battle alone or in a squad with your friends. Multiplayer allows you to assume different battlefield roles (classes) starting with a medic, support or assault and following to the tank driver, pilot and some elite units.
3. Mass Effect 3
Mass Effect 3 is the final part of the trilogy of the same name, created by BioWare. It is an action RPG with wide customization opportunities and several endings that depend on your choices during the game. There are side quests you can complete, and a relationship system that opens new ways to fulfill tasks and lets to romance some characters. The game follows traditions of the cosmic opera genre and features interstellar travel, space fights, and interaction with various alien races. Mass Effect 3 heavily focuses on combat; the core is shooting with a cover system and pursuits.
You play as Commander Shepard (who can rather be male or female) during his fight against the race of Reapers, that invades Earth. The only hope of the world is the absolute weapon you have to create with the help of all races. The tone of the series switched to more pessimistic compared to previous games. Your actions may lead to the deaths of your friends, and this makes your choices harder.
The game is followed by Mass Effect: Andromeda, however, this installment is not a direct sequel to the trilogy and follows the story of brand new characters.
4. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
The game belongs to the Borderlands game line, its action takes place between the events of Borderlands and Borderlands 2.
Everything happens on the moon of Pandora - Elpis. The story tells about the formation of Hyperion Corporation and the fate of its head - Handsome Jack, whom we meet while in the role of a simple programmer who dreams to find some valuable artifact. In the game there are various innovations - in the plot, in the characters, in the scenarios of missions and in the setting. For example, on the Pandora satellite, gravity is much weaker, but there is no oxygen at all. Therefore, the task of obtaining oxygen becomes very important for everyone. Moreover, oxygen is needed not only for breathing, but also for the functioning of personal jetpacks and long high jumps. In the game there is another additional story and downloadable content, including new characters and story campaigns.
5. Dead Cells
Dead Cells is a roguelike adventure title developed by Motion Twin.
Not much story is present in the game, as only bits of any information are given out to the players. The game takes place at a remote island, where the players take place of the Prisoner. The Prisoner does not speak, yet he can express confusion and frustration using his body language. The Prisoner is basically immortal, as, in case of death, his head disconnects itself from the Prisoner's body, and gets back to the game's starting area.
The game's heavily inspired by The Binding of Isaac, as stated by the developers.
Dead Cells features the procedurally generated environments that are typical for roguelike games, yet it puts a strong emphasis on exploration that is typically found in metroidvanias.
The players set out to explore the island where a prison was built. As the players come down into the dungeons of the island, they find various loot, fight dangerous creatures, collect armor, abilities, and power-ups. Upon death, the players lose all the loot they had on them. It is possible to find a shopkeep somewhere in the dungeons to purchase new equipment or have some rest.
The game uses death as a learning experience, as it randomizes the placement of enemies, so the players can't take multiple attempts to complete a level. The developers want the player to examine the enemy behavior and learn how to combat the enemies themselves.
6. Dark Souls
Bone-rattling because of its complexity adventure in the Lordran, land of the ancient lords and endless mysteries. We are playing for a tacit prisoner, whose goal is to become human again. This is the first game in the series.
The main game mechanics is exploration. Dark Souls is a third-person action RPG, a part of the Souls series. The player slowly advances from one point of contact to another, defeating more and more powerful enemies. Completing the game is a truly hard task with the first, one of the main features of the series - a constant repetition and search for better tactics to overcome a certain enemy. After each savepoint respawns defeated enemies, after each death the player loses all the accumulated in-game currency.
In the game there is an unconventional multiplayer system: players can invite other people to join their game sessions for a duel or to help each other with difficult bosses.

Bulletstorm is an FPS developed by People Can Fly and Epic Games.
The game is set in the 26th century, where the universe is run by the Confederation. The player controls the commander of a black ops unit Grayson Hunt who went rogue after realizing that the unit was tricked into killing civilians by its' superior, General Sarrano. 10 years pass when Grayson and his team come across Sarrano's cruiser, attempt to destroy it and crash land on a surface of a planet called Stygia which used to be a tropical-like resort.
The game focuses heavily on combat and features a scoring system named Skillshot. Players gain points for every kill, the more creative the murder is - the more points one gets. Environmental kills are valued the most. Points are used as currency that can be used to upgrade your weapons, buy new ones or get ammunition.
Players can carry three weapons with the assault rifle being the default one and can always be found in one's inventory.
There is no competitive multiplayer in Bulletstorm, but co-op and score attack modes are available.
On release, the developers made fun of other games in the marketing campaign. The dark humor was one of the defining aspects of Bulletstorm.
9. System Shock 2
The game is set in the distant future of 2114, 42 years after the events of the original System Shock. We are onboard the spaceship Von Braun that returns from humanity's first interstellar expedition to Tau Ceti system. The plot follows the main character who awakens from the cryosleep, with no idea what's going on. The rest of the crew was affected by some disaster that either killed them or turned into brainwashed slaves of an alien entity called The Many. The only other survivor is presumed to be mysterious Dr. Janice Polito, who instructs the player via radio. To survive and find out what happened, the protagonist sets out to explore the dimly lit corridors of Von Braun, encountering his former friends mutated into abominations. The player can use guns, but ammunition is scarce, which forces the player to use it prudently and move ahead with caution.
The game was created by Ken Levine, the Irrational Games founder and famous designer behind such titles as BioShock and Thief: The Dark Project. System Shock series was a major inspiration for Bioshock series, which is considered its spiritual successor, as well as, to some extent, Portal series.
10. The Orange Box
This is one of the most original events in the gaming industry - the simultaneous release of five AAA class games by Valve within one set.
The Orange Box is one “box” that was sold for the price of one full-fledged release of the AAA game, but included not one game, but five:
Half-Life 2 Supplement: Episode One,
Half-Life 2 Supplement: Episode Two,
Team fortress 2
The situation around the release of The Orange Box
The appearance of The Orange Box had several reasons. The development of three games at Valve went in parallel and ended almost simultaneously. At the same time, the games industry has matured to redefine the relationship between game manufacturers and game sellers. In particular, the sellers did not want to trade additions to games.
By this time, Valve had already had problems distributing Half-Life 2: Episode One and decided to release Half-Life 2: Episode Two in the same set with other games for the price of one big release.
As a result, not only Half-Life 2: Episode Two, but also games that were completely atypical for the market at that time: good multiplayer game Team Fortress 2 and a small indie game Portal, made good progress on the market.
The release of The Orange Box also solved the main problem of the game Portal. This game was so different from everything in the world of games that the producers didn’t really know exactly how to explain to people what this game was good for.
As part of the set, the game somehow fell into the hands of many people, they tried to play it, and later recognized its original features as its strengths and not its shortcomings. In particular, such a find as GLaDOS received great approval.
Half-Life 2 and its predecessors
This game is a sequel to Half-Life, released six years after the first game.
The first Half-Life has opened a new stage in the video game industry, especially in the shooter genre. Its innovations include:
- the development of the plot completely inside the playing space without using video,
- high artificial intelligence of opponents,
- the hero has allies,
- A new level of player interaction with the environment, as well as the constant need for such interaction for progress in the game. A lot of puzzles are also built on this interaction.
The game is not divided into levels or missions. The player sees only through the eyes of the main character - Gordon Freeman. The hero can not be seen from the side, you can not hear his voice - this is done to fully immerse the player in the game.
The arsenal of weapons in Half-Life is a combination of human (including powerful experimental) and alien weapons.
In addition to 14 types of weapons that the hero can carry with him, occasionally there are stationary weapons, which can also be used. There are also grenades and booby traps.
The action of the first half-life takes place in the underground Black Mesa Research Facility. They are experimenting with the so-called “Anomalous Material” - a crystal, the error in working with which opens a portal to another dimension, from which hostile aliens invade Earth.
The hero, Gordon Freeman, worked as a researcher at this place, and after the disaster he tries to get out of the complex, penetrate the alien dimension and destroy the leader of a hostile alien civilization, Nihilanth, to close the portal and stop the alien invasion. In the final of the first game Gordon succeeds.
There are three additions to the original Half-Life:
- Half-Life: Opposing Force (1999),
- Half-Life: Blue Shift (2001),
- Half-Life: Decay (2001).
The events of the main plot and official additions occur simultaneously, as a result of which the paths of the characters can intersect, and the events can affect both the one addition and the others.
Sometimes you have to play is not a character of Gordon, and you can see Gordon from the side.
continues the story about twenty years after the incident at Black Mesa, in one of the largest cities on Earth, located somewhere in Eastern Europe - City 17.
At the beginning of the game, Gordon Freeman finds himself on a train arriving in City 17, unarmed and without his protective suit. City 17 is ruled by a totalitarian government headed by Wallace Breen, former administrator of the Black Mesa research center. After the events of the first game, the power of aliens has been established all over the Earth - aliens rule through people who have passed to their side. Wallace Breen - the head of these traitors and the main agent of enemies.
Half-Life 2 has become an even more noticeable breakthrough for the video game industry. The main technological advances of Half-Life 2 are:
- the new engine, which raised the level of character animation,
- even more powerful artificial intelligence of opponents,
- realistic physics of the game world,
- even more intense interaction of the player with the environment,
Half-Life 2: Episode One
This is a continuation of the plot of Half-Life 2 and the first part of the trilogy of episodes - the sequels of Half-Life 2.
For much of Episode One, the player interacts with the computer character Alyx Vance. The plot of the episode continues the story of Half-Life and Half-Life 2, and begins from the moment at which the previous game ended.
Episode One is significantly shorter than Half-Life 2, all the action takes place in the City 17.
Half-Life 2: Episode Two
- the second part in the trilogy of episodes, continuing the plot of the computer game Half-Life 2.
The creators of the game try to base each episode on a specific theme. As part of this strategy, Episode Two focuses on open spaces, long journeys (even by car) and less linear gameplay than in previous games in the Half-Life series. Locations include abandoned mines, ant-lion's nest and missile base.
The game develops immediately after the events of Episode One in a wooded area near the destroyed City 17.
Alyx Vance is present in the game, but less active than in the previous episode
Each following addition is noticeably more perfect technically. This is part of the game manufacturer's strategy, which thus solved the problem of a gradual development of the game and the absence of long waiting periods for consumers.
The events of the game Portal take place in the Half-Life universe, in the Aperture Science Laboratories Computer-Aided Enrichment Center. The heroine is a girl named Chell.
The gameplay is based on solving puzzles using a portable device Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. This device allows you to create portals on flat surfaces through which you can instantly move yourself or objects in space.
At the same time, only two portals can be opened, differing in color - blue and orange. When you open a new portal, the previously opened portal of the same color closes. In addition, portals of the same color can open on top of each other, while the portal “opposite” in color should be opened to the side.
As the game progresses, tasks become more difficult, and to solve it is necessary to combine various techniques. Obstacles also arise: walls on which it is impossible to create a portal, energy fields. Passing through such fields destroys the items that the player carries, and also closes the open portals, leaving only the device for creating them.
An essential part of the game is the GLaDOS, an artificial intelligence and self-awareness supercomputer that was developed for the Aperture Science Laboratories Computer-Aided Enrichment Center, but went out of control and captured the Enrichment Center.
GLaDOS is an abbreviation for "Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System". GLaDOS is a female character.
In the game Portal GLaDOS is both the enemy of the player and his guide to the Enrichment Center. GLaDOS observes and controls the passage of tests, gives instructions on the use of objects of the Enrichment Center, sometimes gives advice and cautions. The voice of GLaDOS accompanies the player throughout the game, but until the very end it is unknown who or what GLaDOS is and what role it plays in Aperture Science.
Team fortress 2
Team Fortress was originally created as a modification for the Quake game. The success of this game led to the development of Team Fortress 2 - a game separate from Quake. The game with this name appeared after many years of work. The game had its own visual style and plot, full of hidden and explicit meanings. By genre, the game Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer team shooter.
The world of Team Fortress 2 is the arena where the organizations RED and BLU, created by the Mann brothers, Blutarch and Redmond, secretly confront. The brothers competed for the land of the father.
RED - short for Reliable Excavation & Demolition. RED builds reservoirs, mines, produces bread and beer. The buildings of RED and its equipment are painted in red and yellow, the main building materials are wood, red brick and dark red metal sheets.
BLU is short for Builders League United. The company builds hydroelectric power plants, owns dairy farms. Buildings BLU are made in blue and white colors of white brick and metal.
RED and BLU are waging an irreconcilable struggle, which takes various forms - from unfair competition in business to armed clashes between specially hired mercenaries.
Clashes take the form of seizing and holding control of territory, seizing important heights, destroying enemy bases and industrial espionage.
Clashes between companies take place at various industrial sites, such as mines, reservoirs, quarries and power plants. The secret bases of corporations, computer centers and rocket bunkers under the guise of such organizations are often hidden.
The game takes place on separate territories, called game maps. Each map refers to one of several game modes.
Two teams take part in the game, which differ in the color of the form - Red and Blue - these are mercenaries of two opposing companies.
Teams consist of characters that can be live players or bots. Each class of characters has weapons in their arsenal, allowing them to attack opponents from the other team, and other things designed for different purposes.
Game mode defines the tasks of each team on the map.
Capture The Flag
Capture the files
Control Points (in two versions: Symmetric Control Point and Attack / Defense)
King of the hill
Mann vs. Machine
The game has several classes of playing characters, quite different from each other. In numerous additions to the game there are changes and additions for the game modes, and for individual classes of characters.

12. Victor Vran
Victor Vran is an isometric action-RPG, set in a fictional town, where the player’s character must hunt demons and other vile creatures and rid the world of darkness.
The gameplay despite being similar to other games in the hack’n’slash genre features unique elements based on player’s reaction. Dodging bullets and moving around hordes of enemies can be tricky, but the game emphasizes that the main way to achieve is not just spamming two skills, but employing techniques and developing character’s abilities in the way that would be comfortable to the player. The different loot system helps the character in his journey, as various weapons have their unique abilities, and often improves character’s skills.
The game’s art style is highly reminiscent of Dracula movies and other vampire-based stories. The grim locations and fearsome enemies leave a mark on any player, and the soundtrack of the game also adds to the overall mood of evil lingering in the dark.

And your Demigod will level up during the course of each battle, becoming even more powerful as you unlock new abilities and powers. It's a brutal conflict of Demigod versus Demigod, where the very ground beneath their feet will tremble and quake.
Demigod is a real-time, tactical strategy game that includes extensive role-playing elements. Choose from several Demigods, each poised for battle with their own unique capabilities and awe-inspiring powers. Vanquish other would-be gods as you gain levels, increase in power, unlock the power of mystic artifacts and slowly battle your way closer to joining the Pantheon.
Key features: Revolutionary strategy/action game that combines tactical prowess with role-playing depth.
- Your Demigod is the focus of your power in the arena. Each of the 8 included Demigods has unique powers and abilities.
- Like a role-playing game, players can purchase equipment for their Demigod, add new powers to their Demigod as it gains experience, acquire artifacts that remain persistent between games. Each Demigod plays differently enough that it provides a diverse gaming experience.
- Like a strategy game, players have strategic objectives in each arena that, when captured, provide resources that give access to better units and some Demigods have the ability to summon their own minions that they can individually control. There are gold mines that can be captured to give more resources, artifact shops that, if captured, make their resources available to your team.
- The on-line pantheon allows players to "skirmish" against other players of similar skill or take part in the on-line Pantheon tournament where players choose the path of light or darkness and earn favor points to help their faction win the tournament. Players can also play on the LAN or play custom games with friends on the Internet.
- Players earn favor points through victory with different awards given for different achievements during the game. These favor points can be used to purchase special items that exist from game to game.
- In each game, your Demigod will start at level 1. As you kill enemy grunts and Demigods and capture flags, you gain experience which will cause your Demigod to gain experience levels. When a new experience level is gained, the player can add new skills and abilities to their Demigod to make him or her more powerful.
- Demigod makes use of the same awesome technology as Supreme Commander. However, it has been greatly enhanced with Gas Powered Games' new "mesh" technology that allows the game to have incredible visuals even on older video cards. The arenas in Demigod are not your typical "maps". Instead, they have each been crafted as a full blown 3D model unto itself in which players battle on the surface of them.
[/list[b]Seize key, strategic positions on the map and turn the tide against your enemy. Push deep into their base and destroy them once and for all.
- Key resources in an arena are controlled by capturing the flag associated to that resource. When a player controls that resource, the entire team benefits. Controlling flags also generates war points which are added to your team's war score. When enough war points are collected, new upgrades in the team's Citadel become available for purchase.

Strong teamplay, national armed forces, real locations, full body awareness and a versatile customization system all contribute to the authenticity of the modern combat experience enhanced by other essential elements such as a robust ballistic system, advanced armors and life-like weapons. Produced in cooperation with military R&D centers and consultants, World War 3 shows the consequences of every battle in the context of a global war campaign on a strategic war map.
Modern Battlefield Experience
World War 3 presents a modern conflict with tactics, techniques and procedures inspired by true combat engagements. All of this packed into two exciting game modes. Warzone offers opportunities for dynamic, intense firefights in teamwork-focused battles of infantry and armored units over fortified points. The tactically-oriented Recon allows players to cooperate within small reconnaissance squads left on their own to survive and capture high-value targets in hostile territory. Together these modes create a coherent gameplay experience aimed at presenting the actual feel of modern warfare.
Real Life Locations
We are proud to give you one of the most realistic levels in the history of FPS. Join the battle on the streets of Warsaw, Berlin and Moscow. Take advantage of the urban environment to surprise enemy forces and dominate the battlefield.
Find your own unique combat set fitted to your needs and style without being bound by classes or roles. Choose from hundreds of combinations of unique weapon parts, attachments, skins, camos and paints. Same rules apply to vehicles, tactical gear and uniforms. If it’s possible in real life, it’s possible in World War 3 - simple as that!
World War 3 is heavily grounded in military realism, offering accurate depictions of weapons, uniforms and equipment of national armed forces. All of it to inspire you to make the war effort personal and prove that your country is the dominant force on the battlefield. All maps are based on real-life locations such as the streets of Warsaw, Berlin and Moscow (more locations planned) recreated with an unprecedented attention to detail.
World War 3 supports team-based gameplay rewarding the initiative in playing as a part of a squad. Responsible cooperation within a squad is the best recipe for combat effectiveness. Players can choose between assuming the role of an Attacker or a Defender, and use any gear available to support their playstyle – what matters is the victory.
Armor vs Projectile
The most authentic bullet vs. armor system in the FPS genre to date, achieved through years of research and development with military professionals. Ballistics, a weight system, full body awareness, vehicle physics, and an extensive customization system all affect the gameplay in a meaningful way.
Strategic War Map
To show consequences of every battle, player performance is rewarded with resources used to conquer or defend a territory. Gain additional bonuses via the metagame and turn the tide of war! Every destroyed vehicle, every kill, every bullet fired, every achievement affects the big picture presented on a constantly evolving, interactive war map eventually covering the entire planet.
Community Driven Development
World War 3 is being developed by competitive gamers who grew up playing FPS games. As an indie studio we strongly believe that community input is crucial in creating enjoyable and memorable games.
