5. EA SPORTS UFC 2

EA Sports UFC 2 is a fighting game developed by EA Canada. It is the official game of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Plot

There is no plot present in the game, as all the fights heavily resemble the real UFC fights.

Gameplay

The main objective of the player is to knock their opponent out. The matches may end via Submission, Knockout, Technical Knockout, or by Judges' Decision in case none of the fighters gets knocked out. These matches take place in an octagonal cage, which the fighters cannot leave during the match. EA Sports UFC 2 is trying to resemble the real UFC matches as accurately as possible. The rule sets, venues, and the moves present in the game are carefully recreated in-game.

Several game modes are present in the game. The players are free to play an instant UFC match, choosing the fighter and other fight aspects, such as the venue the match is held in, who to play against, and customizing the rule set.

In a Knockout mode, the players can only win a fight by knocking their opponent out. This mode focuses mostly on strikes, rather than on grapples. There is no stamina bar present in the Knockout mode.

The Ultimate Team game mode is also present in the game. The players build up a stack of cards which resemble different fighters to play against other players' stacks. Upon winning, the players are given coins, that can be used to upgrade their fighters or purchase new ones. The players can also engage in multiplayer fights against each other.

11. KILLER IS DEAD

The action " KILLER is DEAD” takes place in the near future. The world is very similar to the one in which we live but still different. The player controls an executioner named Mondo Zappa. His right hand wields a katana, and the left hand is wholly modified (it can be changed into various forms, including a gun and drill). His goal is to execute heinous criminals scattered all over the world.

Playing for Zappa, you will go through twelve story missions selected on the world map. They range from short linear levels to longer levels that require complete investigation. Some level areas also need the activation of interactive objects (e.g. switches) to move forward. During missions Mondo fights with challenging enemies, using a katana and cybernetic weapons. If you use your left hand, camera's angle changes view to the perspective over the shoulder.

There are three types of missions in the game: story missions (advance the narrative forward), submissions (they are set at the main missions where Mondo performs various tasks ranging from combat missions to quests), and" Scarlet " missions where the female Starlet support character issues combat missions.

12. Mountain

Mountain is a mountain simulation application which was intentionally made as an anti-game. It features very little gameplay and only a semblance of interactivity.

Gameplay

At the beginning of a new game, the player must undertake a quiz. He or she has to answer several psychological questions by drawing the answers. This is the only gameplay Mountain actually has. Based on the drawings, the program generates a floating mountain that embeds the player's answers. The user cannot interact with the mountain or influence it. However, he or she can observe it from any angle by rotating the camera with the mouse. By using the keyboard, the player can also influence the game's piano music.

The Mountain

The mountain slowly changes over time, acting as a living environment. As the time passes, the mountain goes through the day and night, various seasons, clouds, rains, and snowfalls. New plants can grow and fade on the mountain, and random objects can fall on it out of nowhere. Occasionally, a piece of philosophical text appears on the screen indicating the mountain's "thoughts." The mountain eventually collides with a shooting star and collapses.

Premise

This game was created as an art object and an experiment rather than entertainment. It is meant to fill the time in the background while the user is preoccupied with some other activity. Though hardly a game, Mountain can be used for relaxation and meditation.

16. Final Fantasy (1987)

Final Fantasy is a fantasy role-playing video game developed and published by Square in 1987. It is the first game in Square's Final Fantasy series, created by Hironobu Sakaguchi. Originally released for the NES, Final Fantasy was remade for several video game consoles and is frequently packaged with Final Fantasy II in video game collections. The story follows four youths called the Light Warriors, who each carry one of their world's four elemental orbs which have been darkened by the four Elemental Fiends. Together, they quest to defeat these evil forces, restore light to the orbs, and save their world.
Final Fantasy was originally conceived under the working title Fighting Fantasy, but trademark issues and dire circumstances surrounding Square as well as Sakaguchi himself prompted the name to be changed. The game was a great commercial success, received generally positive reviews, and spawned many successful sequels and supplementary titles in the form of the Final Fantasy series. The original is now regarded as one of the most influential and successful role-playing games on the Nintendo Entertainment System, playing a major role in popularizing the genre. Critical praise focused on the game's graphics, while criticism targeted the time spent wandering in search of random battle encounters to raise the player's experience level. By March 2003, all versions of the original Final Fantasy had sold a combined total of two million copies worldwide.

30. Virtua Fighter 2 (1995)

Virtua Fighter 2 (Japanese: バーチャファイター2, Hepburn: Bācha Faitā Tsū) is a fighting video game developed by Sega. It is the sequel to Virtua Fighter and the second game in the Virtua Fighter series. It was created by Sega's Yu Suzuki-headed AM2 and was released in the arcade in 1994. It was ported to the Sega Saturn in 1995 and Microsoft Windows in 1997. In 1996, a super deformed version of the game, Virtua Fighter Kids, arrived in arcades and was ported to the Sega Saturn. A 2D remake was released for the Mega Drive/Genesis in 1996. In addition, Virtua Fighter 2 was converted for the PlayStation 2 in 2004 as part of Sega's Ages 2500 series in Japan. The Mega Drive/Genesis port was re-released on the PS2 and PSP in 2006 as part of Sega Genesis Collection, on the Virtual Console for the Wii on March 20, 2007 (Japan) and April 16, 2007 (North America), and for iOS on January 20, 2011.

Virtua Fighter 2 was known for its breakthrough graphics. It used Sega's Model 2 arcade hardware to run the game at 60 frames per second at a high resolution with no slowdown (by comparison, the original Virtua Fighter ran at 30 frames per second). It introduced the use of texture-mapped 3D characters, and motion capture animation technology. The Saturn version was also well-received for its graphics and gameplay. It became a huge hit in Japan and sold relatively well in other markets, notably the UK.

The arena size could be adjusted up to a very small platform or all the way to 82 meters (269 feet). This is the only game in the series—other than Virtua Fighter Remix—that could have such size adjustments. The physical energy meter could also be adjusted to infinity, giving the player the advantage when beating opponents or practicing moves against the computer player. Adjusting the arena to a smaller size and giving the characters infinite health could lead to mock sumo matches, wherein victory is achieved by knocking the other player's character out of the ring.

44. Daily Chthonicle: Editor's Edition

This game lets you try on the role of a Supernatural Newspaper Agency boss and editor. The world it takes place in is a dark and haunted one, with ghosts, zombies, monsters and even shapeshifting murderers, pretending to be human after they have stolen their victims' bodies or infiltrated the humanity. It was inspired heavily by the works of H.P.Lovecraft and it builds on the atmosphere of uncertainty and noir of the 1940s.
Send your sextet of weathered journalists, detectives and occult specialists to investigate murder, affair, and horror in the Town.
Each time, the story will be different. Sometimes, a werewolf is shredding innocent (and less innocent) victims to pieces and it is your task to unmask the creature. Other times, it will be a body stealing alien from outer space, a mummy that some misfortunate archeologist has excavated and is now haunting them. Perhaps it will be Jack the Ripper, still mysteriously alive and lurking in the streets at night.
Or maybe there is a really bad big tentacled monster hidden in the cellar of the University?
It is for you to find out and entertain your readers while bravely standing up against ancient evil.
