The NES version of Kirby's Adventure was re-released on the Wii via the Virtual Console in February 2007. 5. Tidalis

Tidalis is a block-based puzzle game with casual appeal, hardcore depth, and an addictive new "streams" mechanic. The game is brimming over with riffs and variants on that core mechanic with 20 game modes, dozens of special blocks and items, and 115 levels in the adventure mode alone. The basic rules of the game are this: blocks fall down into the board and have a color and an arrow direction. If a stack of blocks exceeds the height of the board, you lose. In order to clear blocks, you must right-click and drag paths through the arrows to set up chain reactions of like-colored blocks.
If this sounds simple, that's because it is -- you'll be lining up lengthy chains within minutes. But you'll be surprised how much brainpower it takes to set up combos of multiple chains, and the many brainteaser-style puzzles include some real stumpers. Tidalis has co-op and competitive multiplayer modes (both online and offline); action-oriented modes and timer-less brainteasers; a lengthy, casual-friendly adventure mode; twenty unique game modes providing innumerable twists to the basic gameplay; dozens of special blocks and items; and over fifty minutes of beautiful music to go with the painterly art.
In short, several games' worth of content are built on top of this core mechanic, which you'll quickly find to be as iconic as it is novel.Key Features:

  • Two-player co-op and competitive play (both local and networked).

Within 6 weeks our group, McKenna, Elizabeth, Christian, and me (Inno <3), worked to recreate and clone Resident Evil (the original PS1 game) from scratch.  It was hard work learning how to re engineer systems from decades ago and create models and textures the same way that Capcom did in the early 90's but it we learned a lot from doing it.  Overall we're happy with how the game turned out, providing some tense horror filled sections and the same combat/resource management that Resident Evil has come to be known for.

The rules of Jigsaw Sudoku are similar to standard Sudoku, since you must place each of the numbers 1 to 9 (or 1 to whatever the size of the puzzle is) into each of the rows and columns. 40. Delirium

Delirium is a haunting first-person psychological horror game. A small indie game built around bigger themes of loss, abandonment and self-inflicted misery.
You open your eyes in a grungy, gloom ridden room with an old diary as your sole companion. Thus begins your journey that unravels the tragic history of this abandoned house. Each room and each diary pieces together a narrative that traces the history hiding within the wretched walls of this house.
But watch your back during your exploration, slithering among the shadowy corners of this house are eyes; unblinking and gliding, peering and tracing you.. Peel back the bitter truth before it's too late and the history of this house repeats itself.
Main Features:
Exploration Based: The emphasis is to explore this house and discover its secrets through each room.
Narrative Driven: the entire game is based on a narrative about this house and its inhabitant. It invites the player to explore to unfold the story.
First-Person: Told entirely through first-person perspective for immense immersion.
Atmospheric: Atmosphere driven cinematic game, to convey the foreboding and unsettling feeling that the house imposes effectively.
Puzzles: There are few doors that need a combination lock or a puzzle to navigate.
Diary journals: Diary journals provide first-hand account from the past inhabitant and what occurred to him.
It's a short intense journey meant to be played in one setting, so there is no save system. Each restart of the game resets the loop and your nightmare starts all over again.
Headphones are strongly recommended to get the best experience.
Lastly, I'd like to say that this is a short one-man made game that tries to be ambitious despite its small scope. It's pure indie in its essence and my humble node to all the inspiring horror classic games and cinema that I have grown up with.

43. Shin Samurai Jazz

Shin Samurai Jazz is a platform-adventure game. It combines the likes of film noir and samurai cinema, presenting them with 8-bit graphics, an electro-jazz soundtrack, and a comic/manga-like style creating a unique atmosphere.
Unlike it's predecessor, samurai_jazz, Shin Samurai Jazz features jumping mechanics inspired by chuunori, an old technique used in kabuki theatre to give the illusion of flying. It's combat mechanics consist of hacking and slashing with the ability to juggle enemies and perform mid-air combinations, also inspired by chuunori. While the adventure elements remain intact, the puzzles are more complex with varied level designs and enemy placements/attack patterns that make use of the game's mechanics.

  • Adventure through an 8-bit city and free it from it's pixelated nightmare
  • Chuunori inspired platforming with double-jumping, wall-jumping, and aerial dashing abilities
  • Perform attack combinations on land or in mid-air and juggle enemies to overcome their strategic placement and attack patterns
  • Solve puzzles that will test your platforming skills
  • Supports Xbox 360 controllers

The game is based on the Spirou et Fantasio comic book series. It features the adventure of Spirou trying to save his kidnapped friend Count Champignac and stop his arch-enemy Cyanida from making robots rule the earth. The game was noted for its good graphics and for being faithful to Spirou et Fantasio the comic book series, but due to the relatively high difficulty, most reviewers only recommended the game for true fans of the comic book series.
